Last updated: 8 May 2025
Participation in ECON initiatives is subject to adherence to a set of shared values and operational principles that ensure a high standard of collaboration and professionalism across our network.
Criteria for Participation and Ethical Code of Conduct
To be considered for participation in ECON activities, individuals and organisations must meet the following criteria:
- Professional Quality: Demonstrated expertise and commitment in areas aligned with ECON’s mission and thematic focus.
- Respect of Rules in Previous Participation: Participants must have complied with the rules and conditions of previous editions, including respect for deadlines, deliverables, and engagement expectations.
- Agreement and Fee: Acceptance of the formal agreement governing participation, including the timely payment of any participation fees as specified.
- Programme Compliance: Full respect of the programme structure, including attendance, contribution, and visibility commitments as defined by the organisers.
Ethical Code of Conduct
All participants are expected to:
- Act with integrity, mutual respect, and transparency.
- Avoid defamatory or inappropriate remarks concerning other members, including in their absence.
- Honour commitments made, especially in collaborative activities and co-funded projects.
- Foster a collaborative environment that supports diversity, inclusion, and constructive dialogue.
ECON reserves the right to reconsider participation in future activities for those who fail to uphold these values.
Towards a Core Membership Model
In line with the growth and consolidation of the network, ECON is exploring the establishment of a Core Members Group, based on long-term engagement, compliance with the ethical code, and strategic alignment with ECON’s objectives. Further details will be announced in due course.
